RESHEF GABAY ARCHITECTURE+PLANNING
Jerusalem3 KS
3 Jerusalem Street is a Renovation and Addition project (TAMA 38) located in the heart of the established Degania neighborhood in Kfar Saba.
The Building is hidden among the surrounding buildings, shielded from the bustling streets traffic.
The Building's wide side is striped with balconies, opens to a public park aligned with old Jacaranda trees. The façade is a Cubistic composition of alternating surfaces, volumes, textures and finishes that conceal the actual line where the new addition connects to the existing structure. The unification of the existing building south façade is achieved by creating horizontal stripes dividing the existing floors which unify and fade the existing irregular fenestration. The building's color and tone palette is a set of grey, beige and tan pastel colors plastered and partially cladded of large silicate plates.
