Shalem 35 RG
35 Shalem Street is a Renovation and Addition project (TAMA 38) located in the center of the Ramat Shikma neighborhood in Ramat Gan.
The existing Building's is a low-end residence constructed in the early 60's, composed of three attached buildings with small shops on the street level and three floors with 36 small size apartments. The Building's North façade is facing Kikar Harav Pardes, a small urban plaza adorned with old Ficus trees and its East and West façades facing the adjacent streets. The addition to the building will create an opportunity for outdoor sitting and accessible shopping facing the plaza. The building exterior will be "dressed" with all-new façades modifying the vocabulary of the building to a composition of solid mass of silicate white bricks and wood cladded masses bisecting the balcony voids made of horizontal and vertical exposed concrete. The building finishes palette is a set of bright white and concrete grey, with dark grey plaster to separate the four facades and reducing the impact of the new building enlarged mass.
